If the article linked below is to be  believed then yes, Casper has been the 
curator of the Cornell meteorite  collection and, he has worn many other hats 
during his lifetime as well.   Caveat:  The site mentioning all of these 
accomplishments appears to belong  to Casper, himself.  Take a look.
