Hi Phil,  I have never found bright iron in any, but I have found  brown 
phase from low to rather high magnetic pull while the blue has always been  very 
week to almost none at all.

My small blue stone  was encased in more of a "rind" than any of my brown 
stones if that fact is  interesting at all.
