Hi Mike and List,

I just googled this 'Yellow Dog Mine' and found it was a mine in Michigan.
*If* this object on the running board of the autombile really is a meteorite,
its substantial size would point towards the anomalous Grand Rapids iron.
Unfortunately, ... the 114-pound mass of this iron was found in 1883, not
in the 1910's, but, who knows ...?!
