[meteorite-list] Do meteorites fall hot and cold?

Hi all -
Hmmm... if the surface were heated, but the interior
remained very cold, then depending on compostiion
(conductivity), ablation (heat lost), size, and too
many other factors for my small brain to think of
right now, then perhaps that may be why some
meteorites are cold to the touch after falling, while
others are hot enough to start fires.
Warning: I haven't had morning coffee yet.
