If realized auction prices are abnormally low AND THEY ARE  
PUBLICIZED, then next year there will be fewer consigners, and
MANY MORE BUYERS HOPING FOR A BARGAIN.

As a result of the prices being publicized, a more normal result  
should be obtained the following year.
