Chandigarh: Villagers in Hotitur in Sangrur district of Punjab
discovered on Friday, what they claim is a meteorite.

The piece of sparkling stone or the meteroite was seen in a field in
Hotitur village.

The piece is about 8cm by 5 cm in size and weighs around 100 gms. The
piece was immediately taken into custody by the police.

Later, that the local administration took away the piece for scientific
examination, according to sources.
