Hi Greg, Moni and other List members,

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you on the
recent Mojave hunt. To answer a few questions:

After consulting my charts, I believe all of this
years finds are from Nevada. The problem is that the
charts I was supplied with do not show which areas are
are private property or public lands so I have been
going with what the locals have had to say.

I am getting some charts from a Realtor that should
point out these areas rather nicely. Nevada is odd in
that there are only islands of privately owned
property and it seems that 90% plus of the state is
under BLM or federal control if my research is
accurate.

California is odd in that they lease out parts of some
of these dried lake beds so you may need both permits
and permission from the lease holder in order to
search.

I am pushing for a long expedition in the fall after I
have all of my charts and permissions granted. The BLM
will provide accurate charts for about $4.00 a section
from what I have been told so I am looking into these
as well.

I was also told that if seeking permission to search
private property, that an agreement in writing is not
enough. To consummate the deal, some money has to
change hands to make it legally binding. A receipt for
the money is also needed.

The Ivanpah find that a team LunarRock member made a
few years ago was submitted as an L3.8, S2-4, W1 (has
xenoliths of various shock level) I have not heard
anything for years on this piece. I will have to
assume that has been embargoed or somebody is not
doing their job.

Save the Earth, It is the only planet that serves
beer,

Adam
