It's amazing you got it at all. Some postal workers chuck packages that are found in the cracks so late. My most vintage delivery was a bit over 7 months. It was from Los Angeles, lost in Utah, Ogden was the last postmark if I remember correctly. Congratulations on your new acquisition, Bill
