Hello everyone,
I would be interested in having a thin slice cut, but I would not be abot to do it with our hacking the meteorite up, I am also worried that if I try to cut it that the dark part may detach from the rest. Is there a goo probability of this happening. Would someone be able thdo it for me? I would be ablt to cut off a piece for testing, but I do not want to use my saw, the blade 1/8" thick, way too much waste.
Hi Fred,
Have you seen any like this before? This was purchased from you on EBay. I have another one like it, but the dark part is much smaller, I was wondering if you had run into these before?
Thanks,
Joe Kerchner

Hello Joe,
It is really a nice one!
I would follow Marcin' s suggestion, and it is
worth cutting another slice in order to get a thin section
studied.
Kind regards,
Frederic

Hello evryone,
I was wondering if anyone has ever
seen a meteorite like this? It seems to be like 25% Carbonacous and 75%
O.C..
I was thinking it may be duel lithogy, but have been told that the
black part is from a huge inclusion or chondrule and this is just a piece of a
larger one. These pieces weigh about 150+ grams total.
The
dark part smells of sulfur and has a different crust on it then the rest of
the meteorite. Take a look and tell me what you think it may be.
Thanks.
