Hi Ed,

Welcome to the List! As Göran wrote before you should not worry about 'stupid' questions as there are only questions to which you
need to get an answer for a better understanding. This is the same for all of us ~;o)!

I hope that you will enjoy collecting meteorites as much as we all do. As far as i'm concerned I was amazed by the answers that
meteorites bring to the questions we have about the history of our solar system. They are an open book of history actually and I
learned and keep on learning so many things through meteorites thanks to scientific studies that are carried out on them. Two days
ago I attended a conference in my home town of Lyon, France, that was given by a scientist of the ENS (Ecole Normale Superieure) who
is a specialist of meteorites. A two hour long talk that was absolutely outstanding and I can tell you that even though I started
about 5 years ago with meteorites, I learned a lot during those two hours.
That is to say that none of us can say that he/she knows everything about meteorites, and we all have questions about them, as well
as you have!
Enjoy your new passion and keep well!!!
