Hi, Darren,

I have a few that appear very similar.

In mine, the bumps are beauty crisp chondrules!

The dark blobs surrounding the metal is oxidation stain.

If you cut it and have a look under a microscope (I give them a wetting with 
isopropyl alcohol using a Q-tip as I view) you can see all this clearly.

The matrix is somewhat porous and friable, so a polish doesn't improve it 
very much, except to take away the annoying excessive shine from the metal 
flecks.

This is a 475 gram meteorite from a 4000 gram lot I bought on Ebay last 
year.
To me, it seemed to be the most unusual looking one in the group, with the
surface covered with "bumps".  It is mostly covered with secondary fusion 
crust,
with a flattish "bottom" of primary fusion crust and it had a single flat
broken, weathered spot on the "top" which I attacked with a bit of 
sandpaper.
The sanding wasn't enough to penetrate the weathering, but it did expose 
shiny
metal centers to each of the black blobs, some but not all of which are 
visible
in the photos.  Does everyone think that this is just an ordinary chondrite, 
or
maybe something odder?  Since this a fragment of a larger fall, anyone else 
have
a piece that looks the same?
