Hi Bob,
Could it be Troilite (FeS)? It has a gold colour and is often quite
prevalent in many chondrites. Bensour was a great example and it's easily
distinguishable against the stark pale interior.

Anne,
I have a 16 gram fragment of Park Forest with a large cluster of gold
colored metal on it. Actually my wife found the piece.
I also wondered quite a bit about the metal and seeing as it was definitely
not nickel - iron. I never had a pro check it out though.
I will post some photos of it when I get a chance.
