G'day Matteo and list,

I can't tell you an awful lot of the top of my head.

But, I'm pretty sure that Henbury was discovered in 1931 by a chap in a
bi-plane, flying over the Henbury cattle station, South West of Alice
Springs. Northern Territory.

The event occured some 5,000 - 6,000 years ago, and the local aboriginal
people still avoid the valley where the craters are located. Their name for
the valley translated into English, means,
"Sun walk, fire devil rock."

I can't remember what the aboriginal words are as spoken, but I can find out
if needed.

They have passed down the story of the event from generartion to generation.

I imagine this is due to some of their ancestors being witness to armageddon
happen in front of them and it seems to have made a lasting impression.

I have no idea about Wabar, except a google search.

Cheers, Kevin Forbes, VK3UKF.
