AW: [meteorite-list] ebay sniping

This is a little off-topic, but I have similar frustrations with web sites.
~9 out of 10 times I contact a meteorite dealer's web site the item is
gone...usually sold months ago. It seems there are many meteorite sites with
old inventories listed, which I don't understand. I considered just deleting
those sites from my bookmarks, but what if they happen to finally update the
site and have what I need...so I continue to do my weekly routine of
checking...just another pet peeve...

Martin,
interesting that this should come up on the list. i can't count how many
times i've contacted a seller on their website, ready to buy and never
received a response. there are exceptions of course, and i do buy from the

dealers who answer my emails but frequently, ebay has been my only choice.
just an observation from a sometimes frustrated collector. enjoy the
weekend take care
susan
