[meteorite-list] Reports of NEW Indian Fall: 31 July 2006 9:30pm

Dear List:
   
     Reports of a bolide have been reported in the Indian press that a bolide was witnessed with sonic booms, bright flashes and brilliant meteorite trails in Jamnagar and Bhuj, Gujarat, India.  The event was witnessed at approximately 9:30pm on July 31, 2006.
    Initial reports that the fall may have taken place between Halwad and Naliya, however now it is thought that the fall location is somewhere in the Little Rann of Kutch.
    Further reports will be forthcoming pending press reports and ground searches by local scientists.
