I had the same experience.  Again, my collection was modest as well, but
didn't have any trouble putting it on my home owner's insurance.  I suspect
a sizeable collection would be treated differently.

Funny. I had no trouble putting my (modest) collection under my standard 
insurance of the things I have at home. I had it specifically registered as 
being there, with a value quote, and that was no problem. I am in Holland
though.
