[meteorite-list] Highly weathered iron and Ni depletion

Dear List,
  Is anyone aware of literature on Ni depletion in
highly weathered meteoritic shales?  I have found some
iron shale in the isolated Gobi desert and have not
yet had time to test it, as I am just now home.
