This is not true. 

I have imported Mundrabilla, Henbury and Broken Hill directly from
Australia into the US with proper export papers as have many others.

You can also buy a very rare meteorite from Canada,
Tagish Lake from a respected US dealer

All 100% Legal

Export of meteorites from these countries is not "forbidden"
and this is "real law elements and not rumor."
