Dear List Members,
I have two unclassified Saharan irons I am offering to the highest bidder. I
thought they may be a new iron due to their freshness and the fact I had
never seen them before. I sent a type sample to UCLA. One of our list
members saw the specimen in the lab and stated that it "may be" paired to
NWA 854 (named "Ziz"). After that, UCLA did not want to do the expensive
testing (unless I requested them to finish) so I am offering these as
"unclassified". The two small individuals are just too nice and fresh to
cut. I already sacrificed a 37.4 gram piece to the lab. Whoever wins these
can get in contact with UCLA (by way of me) and use my sample number to get
the classification or pairing completed.
I prefer to sell both pieces as one lot. Here are the weights and picture
links:
Total combined weight 289.1 grams
205.1 gram individual

84 gram individual

What is nice about these two specimens is that there is very little rust and
you can see the flow lines, lip-overs and other interesting characteristics
including a blue hue of the freshly burnt exterior.
I will accept offers $850.00 or over until this Monday, June 27th at 9:00pm
Eastern Time U.S. (Florida). If two high bids are the same, I will award the
pieces to the person who emailed me first.
