Hola List, OK, I should have called it an occultation. The bottom line is
that in the next few hours, the Moon will be occulting Antares, the "Rival of
Mars" for its redness and intensity and positining in the sky (="Anti-Aries",
where Aries = Mars in mythology)...

Antares is the brightest star in Scorpius, also known as the "Heart of the
Scorpion" since ancient times. A planetary event like the occultation of
Antares is sure to portend some mystic event. That would be an amplification of
destruction - the nature of Antares. So keep your eyes open for a
spectacular fireball while you are atit:)

Resally, the moon is gibbous now and the dark limb will be covering the
star, making it easy to see as it disappears magically. This is worth the view
for the family since the timing is pretty nice. It will be visible in the
lands south of the swarth SOUTH from Four Corners to Dallas to Atlanta and to
Norfolk Virginia. If you live along that line, you will can see a grazing
occultation which means the star will telegraph to you the specific mountains and
valleys along Luna's surface as it skims along - Fantastic trip from the
backyard with the family!

It all starts righ about now for the next hour or so! (In Monterrey it is
at 11:00 PM CDT) Clear Skies! (Cielos Despejados)
