NOTED SICENTIST KILLED
Buffalo, July 5. - Professor Henry A. Ward of Chicago, the naturalist,
was struck by an automobile here and killed. Alexander Gunnell, the owner
of the automobile, was running it at the time the accident occurred. He was
placed under arrest and released on bail. Ward was an authority on
meteorites, of which he had the largest collection in the world.

GUNNELL IS ACQUITTED
Buffalo Man's Automobile Ran Down and Killed Prof Ward.
Buffalo, N.Y. Oct 1 - The grand jury reported to judge Emery to-day.
In the list of "no bills" was one clearing Alexander Gunnell of
responsibility for the death of Prof Ward, of Chicago, the naturalist. Prof
Ward was run down and killed by Gunnell's automobile.
