Dear List,
  The original article in the Xin Hua newspaper is
very questionable.  The English translation in the
Turkish press link is not very accurate. 
  The cause of this large explosion is yet to be
explained clearly; given the State news, a meteorite
is very unlikely.  Time will tell; the shiny metal in
the photos is not meteoritic.
  Sorry I do not have a link because I only read the
hardcopy in the newspaper.
