Greetings all,
I was contacted by Martin Horejsi yesterday and he is filling in the
balance of 100 items by tomorrow - promising, in his Martin Horejsi fassion,
to bring in some very interesting historic pieces. Those of you who have
dealt with Martin, know of what I speak.
Anyway, I decided to "cap" the on line catalog at 100 pieces and
only take very special specimens beyond that. Well, I didn't have to wait
long, as today I received a VERY special specimen of lunar crust - check
out EH-99 - with NO RESERVE, this will certainly be a popular piece.
In fact, as I go over the entire catalog nearly everything looks to
be a popular item. I am especially tickled with the space tank displaying
outrageous reentry ablation and the inevitable micro craters from numerous
meteor strikes in space (WC-100). This is the fourth one of these I have
seen and each and every one have made me drool with desire for one of my
own. (You all may remember Rob Elliott's article in METEORITE Magazine
about his splendid specimen).
Anyway, folks, while the general call for entries is now closed, the
reception of EH-99 today has forced me to accept that there may be several
additional specimens headed for the auction I will be FORCED to accept,
due to unique appeal. Therefore, if there are any more late stragglers out
there with some really nice goodies, do contact me and make me brake
my resolution to keep it to 100.
