Congrats Todd. Were you using a metal detector or just visual? Actually,
that's pretty good considering the amount of people that are/have pounded the
field. The first finds are the best and most memorable.

Good luck in your future endeavors,
Dave

Hello List,
I'm just a little fish here on the meteorite food chain, but I do have a
story.
Last month I spent the weekend at the Franconia Strewn Field and found my
first two meteorites - 4 gm and 51 gm. They were small but what a rush!
I did have a chance to stop at the Tucson show ever so briefly enroute to
Sierra Vista. I had to have a look at Mike Farmer's lunar. Very impressive.
Hopefully next year I can spend much more time at the show.
Adios.

Thanks Dave,
Actually I used Goldmaster II metal detector. These meteorites gave a very
distinct signal. A friend with me was using a magnet cane with no luck. Believe
me when I say it was hard work and long hours finding these two Franconias.
But worth it!
