[meteorite-list] List policies and ad posts thoughts

Hi Al,
Here is a very simple thing that very few list members
respect:
PUT THE ACTUAL TOPIC OF YOUR POST IN THE SUBJECT LINE
I am continually amazed that people will post and post and
post using an "old" topic title as they change the content of the
communication. It can morph through three or four stages and
keep the old topic title in the subject line.
Then my real favorite is when people post to me, personally,
off list, but leave the "[meteorite-list]" topic in the subject box!
Since I frequently skip many posts to the list it just amazes me
people do this.
So - your suggestion for various topics is valid - it is just that
there is already a system in place: It is called the "Subject" box
at the top of every email. If people would use it it would work fine.
        PS: don't hold your breath!
        Best wishes, Michael
