Hello all,

Thanks for confirming the article to be Potter related Dirk (and for your
comments John, it is always nice to hear people are reading the article
postings). This is the first example I have found, where the evidence shows
what Nininger said, on the origin on a meteorite, was not exactly correct.

$0.40 cent a pound would sound about right to me.....from my Nininger
research. While he has been quoted several times at offering $1.00 a pound,
his letters show $0.75 more his usually pay. Since there was a lot of
Potter it makes sense that he would offer less.

I recently got a Nininger numbered Potter meteorite from Martin Horsei,
(Thanks Martin), and it was a search for a Potter article that recovered the
Potter post I made. Potting fragment/individual has an AML number and
specimen card....also shown.

In a totally none relating note, I have added some photographs of my Bensour
thin section to my Bensour collection page. I have not seen too many
Bensour thin section photographs, and these show the breccia nature of these
likely paired stones well.....or at least I think.
