I have taken a radical approach to meteorite sales:

When I FIRST get items, I have invested capital, so, I
offer them to my past customers at a reduction that
would give me an instant return of my investment,
but at a very minimal profit.

I don't make much - but I didn't have my $ tied up for
weeks, months or years, so, that's OK.

Anything that doesn't sell the first week I own it, I then
price at a reasonable, but modest mark up to begin with
and put them in my catalog:

Even then, I price them so low I would loose money if I had
a sale. That way my customers don't have to wait, hope, or
dork around hoping for a "sale" to get a reasonable price.

I don't know, I guess that means EVERYTHING on
my site is ALWAYS at "sale" price.

Whadda concept.....
