Good morning List,

The age(s) of the BP (= British Petroleum) and Oasis structures have not
yet been exactly determined, there is only an upper limit of about 120 Ma.

LDG has an age of "only" ~28 Ma, which would imply that there is no relationship.

C. Koeberl, on the other hand, found that LDG major- and trace-element abundances
and Sr- and Nd-isotopic compositions of the rocks from the B.P. and Oasis impact
structures in eastern Libya and those of LDGs are similar.

But Koeberl is hesitant about confirming a direct relationship because
of the lack of age information for the two Libyan structures.

Best wishes,

Bernd
