[meteorite-list] Inscribed meteorites

Hello,

I am just finishing my report on 19th century
"inscribed meteorite" stories. Thanks to those in this
group who have helped me on and off-list.

One angle I would like to explore is whether
meteorites are very frequently inscribed with messages
or pictures these days, and whether the tradition has
ever really existed in the past. The one website that
includes photographs of ancient carved meteorites from
China does not go into any details at all.

I'd appreciate to read any comments.
