[meteorite-list] Montrose meteorite

Hi everyone, finally home and caught up a little.
I posted that email as a parody of some of the stupid emails that are all too common on this list. Based on reality but drenched in sarcasm and idiocy. Some of you seem to have missed the point but many of you found it the way I meant it.

Anyway, I had to inform Blaine Reed who lives only a few miles from the explosion site of the fall, and Blake Reed heard the sonic boom that night but thought nothing of it.
When I learned of the possible fall (Bob Haag called me) I rushed up there with a couple of friends and met Blaine Reed at his house. We hunted all over town, talked with the police and Blaine posted posters everywhere.
I did the interview with the paper with the usual results of totally messed-up reporting as you all read. I mentioned steel when the guy didn't seem to understand what Iron meteorite meant. I certainly never said they were more valuable than any other meteorite.
Anyway, hopefully a piece will be found from this spectacular fireball.
