Howdy,  
    Why not use a spores, pollen, microorganism, or other forensic trace analysis technique?  Just a quick thought, not sure how practical or expensive this would be.

A picture of "as found" and a sample of dirt from the location, and of 
location stratigraphy/surface soils type, and having that same soil 
plastered on the bottom of the meteorite  A (and inbedded in the patina) 
would be part of a plan of action.
Yes, this could become an issue, especially with some without morals.
