Yo, Steve,
        BUMMER about your camera.
        However, get that puppy replaced and I am confident you will LOVE
IT.  (Can you take a photo of it with your old digital and send it to me?)
        TRY OUT THE REPLACEMENT BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE - you can
take a few snaps and review them on the camera monitor.
        Also, mine came with a 16 memory stick & I got a 128 replacement,
which allows a good deal of photos "on the road."
