[meteorite-list] Colourful Perseides

Hi all,

i was out yesterday night too, because of the perseides.
Saw a few, not to much, but one of them was really great:

It seemed very close, first it was orange-yellow, then it broke and the 
colour turned into green!
(No, we where not drunk ;)
Never saw something like that before.

Anyone have a clue how this come? Is it something like "broken light" as 
u can see it in a rainbow?
