[DogParkList] Notes from the skunkworks - MacLoggerDX for Cocoa

Work on MacLoggerDX for Cocoa continues but still no release date.

All the preliminary R&D has been done and coding begun some months ago.

The current MacLoggerDX (v4.3.5 beta) is now feature and UI frozen but  
bugs will continue to be fixed and radio drivers added where possible.  
The reason for this freeze is that I am currently spending more than  
95% of my time on supporting the existing products and this leaves  
very little time for me to work on the cocoa version. MacLoggerDX for  
cocoa will use the same radio drivers as the current MacLoggerDX but  
will use core data and SQL for the log database. This will allow much  
better response time for those really big logs. As soon as the  
prototype is feature complete some screen shots will be posted. Beta  
will be public and there will be an upgrade path for existing 3.5  
registrations. To help me correlate feature requests for the new  
version please include "MacLoggerDX for Cocoa" in the subject line of  
your emails. Feel free to post them to either the dogpark list or the  
Yahoo group. I have no objection to animated discussions about these  
requests and I will be reading every one of them but due to time  
constraints won't be able to respond to them.

I would also ask the more experienced users to continue the great job  
they have been doing helping the newer members on the lists. There is  
still a long way to go but I truly appreciate your continuing input  
and support.
