Daily Minyan

Please join us for our online morning and evening Minyan gatherings on Zoom.

Your support and participation are appreciated. Services last approximately
one half hour, and enable mourners to recite kaddish for a loved one with a
minyan.

This Week's Tip from.

The CBI Alliance for Sustainability

"It's not that the world hasn't had more carbon dioxide, it's not that the
world hasn't been warmer. The problem is the speed at which things are
changing. We are inducing a sixth mass extinction event kind of by accident,
and we don't want to be the 'extinctee.'" -Bill Nye, 'The Science Guy'

Our religion teaches us that we are God's partners in creation. But when the
problem is so vast, how do each of us make a difference? Here are a few
suggestions:

*	Turn up the temperature on your air conditioner by one degree. Make
sure to clean or replace the filters for your air conditioner.
*	Plant more bushes, trees, and flowers, and less grass.
*	Install ceiling fans. If you have them, reverse the direction on the
fan for the summer so the fan is pulling cool air up.
*	Compost--even if you don't garden. Your neighbor who is a gardener
will surely appreciate a gift of composted soil.
*	Turn off lights, televisions etc. when you leave a room.
*	Buy bars of soap instead of soap in a plastic bottle.

*	Buy dehydrated laundry sheets instead of detergent in plastic jugs.

*	Close blinds/shades to prevent the sun from heating up your room.
*	Ditch the single use plastic--carry your own reusable water bottle.
*	Take a shorter shower, or shower with a friend.
