To the CBI Community:

 

            The rabbinic search committee has invited Rabbi Ari Isenberg to
visit B'nai Israel the weekend of January 10-12, 2020.  

You will have many opportunities to meet and learn from Rabbi Isenberg that
weekend, including at the Oneg Shabbat on Friday night, during regular
Shabbat services and the Kiddush following on Saturday morning, and at a
question-and-answer session on Sunday morning at 9:00.  Please plan on being
present during at least one of those times.

            The search committee wants your feedback!  Following Rabbi
Isenberg's visit, please write to us at rabbisearch at cbi.org

Rabbi Ari Isenberg

            A native of Canada, Rabbi Isenberg studied sociology at
Dalhousie University, and received both rabbinic ordination and a master's
in sacred music from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2013.  He served as
senior rabbi and cantor at Shaar Shalom in Halifax from 2005 to 2015, and
has served for the past four years as the associate rabbi at Temple Israel
Center in White Plains, NY.

            Besides his many projects surrounding innovative davening and
engaging congregants, Rabbi Isenberg has also developed a strategic
partnership with the Masorti  community of southern France, established a
chesed healing circle, in White Plains, and has led official congregational
delegations to the annual AIPAC policy conference.  Rabbi Isenberg will be
spending the weekend of January 10-12 at B'nai Israel with his wife, Gila.
