Sunday, December 29 // 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.

EDGE (Eclectic Discussion Group Event) is CBI's informal discussion group.
These sessions draw upon the expertise, experience, and interests of
congregants to present programs on a variety of topics. Two topics will be
presented, with time for Q&A.

Late in Life Decision Making

Presented by Marvin Fish

This attorney-led discussion about topics of concern to all of us will
address wills, trusts, gifts, life insurance, and powers of attorney. Also
included will be perspectives on end-of-life considerations related to
living wills, POLST (Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment),
medical proxy, autonomy, substituted judgments, and the new statute called
Aid in Dying.

Making Math Fun

Presented by Mark Richman

Hear how this experienced math teacher makes math interesting, meaningful,
and, especially, fun by using humor, dance, and song. When math becomes
understandable and enjoyable, even pupils with "math anxiety" can't wait to
learn. See how these techniques can be applied to teaching factoring,
multiplying binomials, and solving quadratic equations.

Refreshments will be served.
