Adult Forum

Screening of Long Grey Line

TOMORROW! Thursday, October 3 - Lunch at 12:30 p.m. / Program at 1:00 p.m.

This documentary film covers the history of Jewish attendees of West Point
from its first class to the 1,000th graduate.  We will have a West Point
graduate in attendance to speak and answer any questions you many have.
Please join us for this unique presentation.

Our Adult Forum programs are open to all CBI members and the general
community.

The cost is $10 for Adult Forum members & partners // $12 for community
participants.

This Shabbat at CBI

In addition to Kabbalat Shabbat at 8:15 p.m. on Friday evening and Shabbat
Morning Services on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m., we offer the following
programs this Shabbat:

Saturday Morning, October 5

10:15 a.m. in the School Wing

Bim Bam Shabbat for Young Families

Sing songs and prayers, hear a story and play games! Bim Bam Shabbat is led
by Morah Vivian Gibilisco and Rabbi Julie. Bring moms, dads, grandparents,
neighbors, friends ... all are welcome! Join us for a casual Kiddush and
schmooze following program.

11:00 a.m. in the Chapel

Yaldeinu Service

Our Yaldeinu service is a warm, nurturing, supportive environment for
families with children or young adults with special needs. We have prepared
liturgy and an experience designed to be participatory, joyous, and relaxed.
Beth Giladi, a special needs educator, leads CBI's Yaldeinu program, with

to services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Chanting Circle Yom Kippur Edition

THIS Sunday, October 6 at 5:00 p.m.
'Pre-prayer' for Yom Kippur at our inspirational chant and song circle with
musical accompaniment.  We focus on key verses from the Day of Atonement
liturgy, exploring their meaning. We then sing the text as we join together
with our voices in simple yet compelling, melody and rhythm. Be prepared to
sing your heart open, soothe your mind, and let your spirit soar! No prior
knowledge of Hebrew necessary or singing ability ... only a willingness to
join in spiritual community.

Looking Ahead to Sukkot

Fun in the Sukkah and More 

Family Pizza-in-the-Hut

Thursday, October 17 -- 5:00 to 6:15 p.m.

Join us in the Sukkah to celebrate Sukkot with a pizza dinner (plus fruit
and drinks), craft project and singing with Rochelle and Rabbi Julie!

This event is FREE and open to CBI families with children from birth through
12 years old . but we need you to RSVP so we have enough pizza!
