Holocaust Remembrance Program

Tuesday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary

(please note earlier start time to allow families to attend)

Our synagogue remembers ... a Holocaust commemoration program in conjunction
with Voices of the Generations. Julie Kohner has been a Jewish educator for
over thirty years, with a master's degree in educational counseling. After
Julie's mother, Hanna, a Holocaust survivor, passed away in 1990, Julie
began to create educational programs to honor the victims and survivors of
the Holocaust. Her goal was to teach the Holocaust as seen through her
mother's eyes. This was the beginning of Voices of the Generations, a unique
and personal approach to Holocaust education.

EDGE Discussion Group

Sunday, April 28 // 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.

EDGE (Eclectic Discussion Group Event) is CBI's new informal discussion
group. These sessions draw upon the expertise, experience, and interests of
congregants to present programs on a variety of topics. Two topics will be
presented, with time for Q&A.

Bell Labs, Wafers and Turing Machines - From Sand to Smartphones

Presented by Jamey Potechin

This talk will explore the history and technology behind computer
technology, tailored to the non-technical but interested in what is behind
the curtain.

How to Manage Your Wealth and Stay Out of the Poor House

Presented by Dan Ramer

.         The emotions of money, fear vs. greed, why most investors under
perform

.         Being a contrarian and not following the herd

.         What to do about consistently low interest rates when you are
retired

.         The next recession? And what that means for your finances

.         Saving! Spend less at Starbucks and Basilico and invest for
retirement
