Screening of A Star is Born
Thursday, February 21
Lunch begins at 12:30 p.m. The program begins at 1:00 p.m.
Join us to screen the award-winning smash hit. Many of you may remember the
James Mason, Judy Garland version or even the Janet Gaynor, Fredrick March
original. In the current telling, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga fuse their
considerable talents to depict the raw and passionate tale of Jack and Ally,
two artistic souls coming together, on stage and in life. Theirs is a
complex journey through the beauty and the heartbreak of a relationship
struggling to survive.
Our programs are open to all CBI members and the general community.
By all means, bring friends!
Contact Lois Dyer at 973-533-1809 for details and to place your lunch order.
The cost is $10 for Adult Forum members & partners // $12 for community
participants
No charge if only attending program
CBI Chanting Circle
Purim: Less Oy and More Joy!
Sunday, March 17th at 5:00 p.m.
Join us in the Chapel for an especially joyous Hebrew chant and song circle
with musical accompaniment. We are in the merry month of Adar when we are
told to increase our joy! Winter will soon be over and in just a few days
Purim is here. And there is no easier mitzvah to fulfill!
The intention of chanting is to awaken the divine in our hearts. It can
soothe the mind, and at the very least is simply fun to do! No prior
knowledge of Hebrew or singing ability necessary
only a willingness to join
in spiritual community.
CBI ISRAEL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
AIPAC Policy Conference 2019
Sunday-Tuesday, March 24-26 // Washington, DC
We encourage congregants and their families to be a part of our CBI
delegation!
We have a special block of DISCOUNTED registrations reserved for our
congregation.
The <http://www.policyconference.org/index.asp> AIPAC Policy Conference is
a bi-partisan pro-Israel event featuring appearances by leaders of the US
government and members of Israels government, and features many informative
and newsworthy presentations about the importance of the US Israel
relationship. Consider attending the conference to learn about Israel, to be
inspired by Israels accomplishments, and to meet with your Congressmen and
Senators to support initiatives which will strengthen the US Israel
relationship. This year many new members of Congress will be in attendance.
For more information about the DISCOUNTED registrations, please contact Joe
Tenenbaum, Israel Affairs Committee Chairperson, at
