Kabbalat Shabbat Service
this year with a Disney theme
followed by our
famous make-your-own Ice Cream Sundae Oneg.

Please Note: This is the Only Kabbalat Shabbat Service on This Night

 

Hanukkah Tot Shabbat

TOMORROW! Saturday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m.

Please join us as our youngest congregants discover the wonders of Shabbat
and we celebrate Hanukkah with a brief child-friendly service followed by
festive Oneg sponsored by the HGECC Parents Association. Bring moms, dads,
grandparents
all are welcome!

(This is for all CBI families with preschoolers; children do not need to be
enrolled at HGECC.)

What do you do with the  left over candles you have because you didn't light
them every night last year?

Or, the extras because some in the box were broken and you bought more?

 

Rid yourself of that clutter and start fresh this year!

We need your leftover candles when we attempt to light 90 feet of menorahs
around our social hall

on the Extra Night we are celebrating this year on December 24!

 

Collection bin is in Lobby outside main office.

 

 

High Holiday Survey

We want your feedback!

The Religious Affairs Committee is once again conducting a survey to help
assess our High Holiday Services and programming.

We would appreciate if each adult congregant would complete this survey. It
should take about 10 minutes and your feedback will be very helpful as we
plan for next year. The survey will remain open through Friday, Dec. 26th

Adult Forum “Lunch & Learn” programs are on Thursday at CBI!!!

Our programs are open to CBI members and the general community.

Screening at CBI: The Hundred Foot Journey. This film is handsomely crafted,
well-acted and entirely enjoyable. Hassan Kadam is a talented culinary
ingénue.  When he and his family are displaced from their native India and
settle in a quaint French village, they decide to open an Indian eatery.
Madame Mallory (Helen Miren) is the owner of Michelin acclaimed restaurant a
mere 100 feet across the road.  War erupts between the two establishments.

Join us as Rabbi Bayar presents a discussion on the current state of affairs
in Israel, whatever they may be at the moment.
