HIGH HOLIDAY PARKING REMINDER

For the High Holidays, the synagogue parking lot is reserved for congregants
with permits, requested in advance due to physical limitations and genuine
need.

Additional parking is available at Menorah Chapels on Vauxhall Road. You may
drop off at synagogue and then park at Menorah Chapels.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

CBI Chanting Circle

Our next chanting circle will be held in the chapel, or weather permitting,
in the Sukkah, on October 12th at 5:00 p.m.   

We will be exploring Sukkot and its imagery of protection and healing
through chant and song with musical accompaniment.

Be prepared to sing your heart open, soothe your mind, and let your spirit
soar! 

No prior knowledge of Hebrew necessary or singing ability.only a willingness
to join in spiritual community.

Themes and Values for the Home

with Rabbi Steven Bayar

Select Monday and Thursday evenings (7:30 - 9:00 p.m.)

 

A series of evening classes held just prior to select holidays throughout
the year. 

These classes are designed to introduce the themes, observances and values
associated with each holiday.

Attend all sessions.or just the specific classes that most interest you.

Suitable for all levels of learning and observance.

Bar Mitzvah Project

SPORTS EQUIPMENT DRIVE

Leveling the Playing Field, Inc.

CBI congregant Ben Sinins is collecting used sports equipment (anything but
football helmets and roller skates) as part of a mitzvah project.

Leveling the Playing Field is a non-profit organization that provides
underprivileged 

children the opportunities to play sports by providing them with needed
athletic 

equipment. Leveling the Playing Field collects and sorts donated equipment
and then distributes to less fortunate communities.

Collection Boxes Available:

** Home Run Derby at Gero Park on October 5 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. **

** 210 Highland Avenue, Short Hills (box at side door) **

** Congregation B'nai Israel Lobby **
