[CBI] CBI President Transition

Dear Friends,

 

               I am pleased to let you know that recently, our Nominating
Committee finished their work and the new Financial Secretary and Board of
Trustee slate is posted at CBI and will be in April's Bulletin.  In
addition, there will be a transition of CBI President.

 

              As many of you know, my term began "off-cycle" in 2012.  After
careful thought and discussion, I determined that this would be the most
beneficial time for Andrea Hirschfeld (our first Vice President) to
transition into the role of President.  She will officially assume the
Presidency as of March 15, 2014.

 

              Andrea and I will continue working closely together during the
next few months to make this transition as seamless as possible.  We have
had the great fortune of working very well together and share the common
goals of CBI's health, vigor and cohesive community.

 

              Andrea comes to this role with true commitment and passion for
our community as well as extensive synagogue leadership experience.  I thank
Andrea for her many years of service to CBI and her openness and flexibility
on her start date as our new congregational President.  Please be sure to
read Andrea's April Bulletin article where she will tell us more about
herself and her goals for our congregation.

 

              Finally, I want to express my deep gratitude to all of you for
having provided me the honor of serving as Congregation B'nai Israel's
President.  Your commitment to and love for our community have guided me in
my work.  The best part about my role was getting to know and work closely
with so many of you, who have provided me with continuous inspiration.  I
look forward to our continued connection and may we continue to go from
strength to strength.
