Torah Portion: Ki Tissa
Ki Tissa tells the story of the Golden Calf. While Moses was receiving
revelation on Mount Sinai, the Israelites grew afraid that he would not
return. They forced Aaron to make a Golden Calf for worship. Moses returns
to find many involved in idolatry. He smashes the Ten Commandments and
punishes the people. Later, while praying for God's mercy upon the people,
Moses begs to "see" God. God agrees.

AIPAC Policy Conference
Prime Minister Netanyahu Confirmed to Speak!
March 2-4
Washington, DC
Organized by The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, this conference
highlights the importance of the partnership between the United States and
Israel. Attending this conference is one way to prioritize the safety and
security of Israel. Each year, dozens of CBI members participate. The
AIPAC Policy Conference provides the opportunity to hear from presidents and
prime ministers, policy makers, scholars, and journalists about the issues
affecting the US/Israel relationship. It also allows congregants to lobby
our members of Congress in person on legislation that will have a real
impact on the future of America and Israel. Attending the AIPAC conference
is a wonderful way to become better educated on the issues and introduce our
children to how American citizens can impact policy.
Please commit three days this year to participate in the annual AIPAC Policy
Conference in Washington DC.
You can read more about the conference at www.aipac.org.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Israel Affairs Committee
Chair, Joe Tenenbaum, at <mailto:TenenbaumJ at aol.com> TenenbaumJ at aol.com.
